Paul's famous group, The UPTOWN HORNS
toured with bands ranging from
the J. Geils band, Robert Plant and
the Honey drippers, Pat Benatar, and the
Rolling Stones. They performed on TV
shows including The Tonight Show,
Late Night with David Letterman,
the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, the
Jim Henson Muppet Hour
and the 1989 "Cinemax Legends of
Rock n' Roll" concert backing
Ray Charles, B.B. Kings, Jerry Lee Lewis,
Little Richard and Fat's Domino.
As a founding member of
The Uptown Horns, Paul honed his
craft as a consummate side-man.
The quartet went to England with their own group
and recorded original material for EMI/UK,
yielding the underground classic single
"SEX WITH MY EX". They also released a
retrospective EP titled "A SHOT IN THE DARK"
on Roadside records.  As members of Buster
Poindexter's Banshees of Blue, they recorded two
LPs including songs they co-wrote with
Poindexter and performed on numerous
TV shows, in music videos and films.

Paul split with the Horns in
1992, and continued to record and
tour with artists like Wynonna Judd,
Elton John, Aaron Neville, and Angie Stone.
While in Nashville Tennesee, he led and
Produced band project "The Blue Zone"
featuring legendary bassist Anthony Jackson,
award winner Dave Innis on
keyboards, and Pink Floyd/Rolling Stones
vocalist Lorelei McBroom. That band
brought about his collaborative horn work
with Paulie Cerra  (sax) and the birth
of Pacific Coast Horns.

Since moving to Los Angeles Paul has
recorded and toured with the unique, instrumental
ensemble "Unwrapped". Recording Hip Hop hits
with instrumental leads, Paul is the
featured trumpet
player. He also records for
"Def Jazz" on Verve.
